Tidewater Cares: An Introduction
Tidewater Cares is a section of Tidewater Events that includes a twice-weekly blog, livestream events, and personal features of members of the Tidewater community, just like you. This is Tidewater Events’ way of showing our community how deeply we care, by using our local online platform to highlight different nonprofits, charities, and businesses. After seeing how hard the 2020 pandemic has negatively impacted our amazing cities, we knew we had to help.
As a community, it is time to bring Tidewater together, so we can build ourselves up and move forward. Members of the area will be recognized by Tidewater Cares through the submission of nominations. If you have someone you’d like to nominate (it can be yourself!), we ask that you submit it here. We’re excited for the opportunity to meet so many of our fellow community members!
Let’s introduce the team, as we’ll be writing to you each week!
Angela is our Chief Executive Director, and has been working in the events business for almost 10 years now. She has a plethora of experience from weddings to concerts to expos and tradeshows to everything in between. She loves animals and is a mom to one son, one daughter, two dogs, and two cats. She’s excited to highlight so many deserving organizations!
Allie is our Creative Director, and she’s been in events since 2018. She has dabbled in working as an actress, a model, an artist, and running an antiques booth. She loves decorating, as well as socializing with friends and family. She is delighted to meet community members and get to know them!
Lexi is Tidewater’s Operations Director and she’s a bit newer to the events world, but she loves it so far! She’s worked for a wedding planner in the Shenandoah Valley for a short bit, as well as in several Disney World resorts, before returning to Hampton Roads in 2020. She loves watching the HGTV channel, baking desserts, and nap time. She can hardly wait to bring the community together through Tidewater Events.
